Cosworth FWD engine in to a MK3
Has anyone on here ever put a cosworth YB in to the front of a mk3 and run it through the front wheels? looking at different engines for my MK3 early 2 bolt strut top shell and was wondering whether it would fit without structural modifcation to the shell? i know the 2 bolt shell is slightly narrower then the later shell.
cheeRS for any help, Luke.

Someone on here did a series 2 front wheel drive cossie, was a lot of work and very tight on the bulkhead with the inlet.
Had to chop the inner wing on the driver side also to clear pulleys and belts!!

What FWD gearbox is used to do this?
I'd also recommend ZT but that's purely on price, if you can afford a Cossie build and want one then why not, certainly looks good in the bay!
lol

It's the std s1 gearbox used and I had a 4x4 flywheel machined down to take a cvh ring gear.

Fair play to you for being different.
Save up for a nice alloy block to knock a few kgs off it.
