Hi, few years ago in Romford I spotted an old MERCEDES 350 SE with a private plate on it . The guy said I could have the plate and car 78 DMH or DMH 78 cant remember which way round . How can I find out if this car /plate still excist ?


Can anyone help? be great if I could find the owners details ,teach me for not getting it on the day, sadly I lost the owners number.

 

I expect u can go on Internet and do a tax check to see if it's still taxed and u can go on ask mid and see if it's still insured. As for finding
The chap I wouldn't have a clue. I know u can apply to dvla for the owners details but think u have to be a company or something for that?

 

No you can't obtain the details

 

It asks for a log book number etc so that's a no go .

 

neither version of the plate come up on https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

 

+ the plate doesn't come up as assigned to any car

 

neither on askmid either or bringing up any details on car parts sites that go by the car reg.

 

Very strange .
