Default Escort cab roof not closing properly

Hi all
Having a problem with my cab roof. It is letting water in on the passenger side at the point where the roof and windscreen meet (see picture).
It doesn't pour in but its enough of a gap to let some water in when it rains heavy.
I've not had the car long and I think the previous owner has replaced the passenger side roof catch with one of a different model, as you can see in the pictures there is definitely a difference between the left and right catch. Is this normal? Or has it in fact been replaced at some point?

Thanks

Looks like the hook has been made, but certainly looks sufficient. Maybe loosen the lock nut off and try winding it in to pull the roof down tighter.

The hook part is screwed in as far as it can go. I might take it out and saw a bit off the end see if that works.
Cheers pal
