Default ZT inlet and cam cover.

Got myself a blacktop with a 2.0 mondeo inlet. Bought a complete engine gasket set and it's got 3 lots of inlet gaskets. A metal one, a paper one and the little spade shape rubbers that fit around the ports. Questions is, which ones do I use?

Also, on a mk4 escort, does the cam cover fit or will it foul on the inner wing?

The cambelt cover will go in with modifications.

What gaskets are on your mondeo inlet? I used a frs mk1 inlet, that had the 4 rubbers inserts.

Use whatever gaskets are for your inlet, if it has recesses for the rubber ones then use those for example.

Well I managed to bag a brand new complete mondeo inlet on ebay for £27!
So that has brand new rubber inserts. I just wouldn't have thought it would bolt straight onto the head using just those.

Thanks for clearing it up chaps.

The plastic upper part needs a notch cutting out to clear the inner wing/mount area. The alloy part needed quite a bit cutting off to allow it to fit in, you can only get the one bolt in to hold it in place once the engine is fitted, so I bonded it at the back end.

I can try and grab you a couple of pictures if you want, later in the week?

Sounds like a fair bit of work. I don't have any of the cam cover you see, but a friend is breaking a focus st170 and said I can grab whatever I need for free.

If you wouldnt mind putting a few pics up and i'll see how much is involved.

Its lunched. It's why he's breaking the car. Which is a shame.
