As above
2wd oil cap wanted.
Mines cracked slightly.
I've bought a new style one from Graham Goode but don't like it at all.
Thx

Brands Hatch Performance have them for sale , they look like genuine Ford ones. Was the one you got from GGR not genuine Ford?

That is not the right one for a 2wd. There were a couple of the correct 2wd ones on E-bay although they were used.

When you say correct you mean not factory looking?
It is an updated one the fits perfect. I have it on my car now.
Have you got a link to the eBay ones by any chance.
Thx

This is confusing me as I have one of the last to be made 2wds, a 1990 one. I am only the second owner and have had it for 21 years and it has always had the screw in type which I thought was the correct one ?
Maybe the first owner changed the cam cover to one from a later 4x4 model? That is why I said the one you bought from GGR was not correct. The one shown in the post by the ENIGMA is exactly the same as my original one and it it says it is for 2wd models.

Mine is an 89 car with a screw type oil cap. Were the 4wd screw and 2wd not or is it a mix?

I think 89/90 they obviously started to swop over to the screw type but in the main 2wd was twist and 4wd was screw

I was going to swop my twist type cam cover for a screw type but mine is modified for the coil packs....

As an aside the RS500 road car engines had the bayonet 2wd type but the RS500 crate engines had the later screw on ones.
