Here is one of the best cars of the day imo, few reasons why, mainly due to it being abused whole session and reliable, to start with. Then the fact it is a true icon that we have model cars of which is being used in this way. Handling was far better which obviously I expected due to wheel size and tyres along with the mag arms etc Without a doubt there were many awesome cars like the rs17t and the wrc msport cars AG's cos and focus the rs200's but overall I think this was the car of the day for me.
I didn't get a chance to say thanks to Jamie and Dan, FastFord and everyone else involved in another great day so here is a perfect place for that.

for passenger or the car is.. or both.
always improvements that can be made which I would love to do at some point. But that's a whole different thread I need to start, then get some advise for a change.

great vids. you know far more than il ever know about cars but something i have researched is bonnet spacers like you have done. some guys in america tested it in a wind tunnel and apperently it uspest the airflow and causes lift on the front end and at speed is a high pressure area so no air can escape from the engine bay. it only helps when stationary. just my 2 pennys lol

possible, what car was this test done on? How valid is it on this?
if you notice my vents are not normal not much is tbh.
I expect more air to be flowing into my engine bay than any normal car. I have no bumper as such, because even if I did remove what I have left there would be front panel. So with the vents and front end I should hope air would flow through then up as heat rises (and there is a lot)
as for lift I have as good as ford intended with an optional extra RS splitter. but lets face it I have a brick! What would you rather have, a car that is reliable with lift, or something that will overheat and blow up.

Haha both, you can't help the car that much really as its hard to keep grip with all that power going thought a weightless backend, your work something out your a clever man

Just passing on what Iv read really. Googling it will bring up a fair few opinions on it. I don't know the car though to be honest. I think it's just a common part of any car aerodynamics that air doesn't get sucked out from the scuttle area at speed. When you park up though it will let the hot air out. I don't full understand why it causes front end lift but I can try and find the articles I read.
Iv just quickly found this article that I guy did some testing and found inlet temps higher with bonnet spacers

Il try and find the wind tunnel tests after work

that test is a load of nonsense I can pick holes all over it. Im going back to my point that air temps are over 65degree which is massive. Whatever changes by the raisers at that point makes no difference what so ever. At idle like you say it will help heat escape and lower heat soak. what it does while im doing 140mph down the back straight we will never know and only guess. so I dont care at that point only about looks I guess. I need a top spec intercooler which will cope regardless, even if a bonnet wasnt fitted for heat to escape or had much less air flow with a standard 90spec bumper

sod the bumper, gets loads of stick following the likes of jim gibbs anyway as he loves cutting the corners.
power.. I guess less due to the high acts.
engine is nothing special either 205block std head.
silver one last time I see a pic of it had bad offside damage. It was quick too so no doubt would happen to it.

He deffo turned the boost up. Both Dan and I noticed regardless of my loss of power due to act's i had, as they were there most of the time even with water cooling.

Yes you can definately tell he did something, seemed embarrassingly slower in the straights before.
As you said on other thread, proper intercooler and someway of getting the power down and I can't see anyone taking you, your going past kit that's had 50k plus thrown at it as if it's standing still.
You wasn't even scaring them out the way this year either lol
