Default 1987 Sierra xr4x4 help....

Hey!

recently i traded my 91 sierra 2.0l dohc into a 87 xr4x4 that dosent run, the engine in the car is the 2.8i kjet

Well, the car does not want to start at all, it turns around very nice, but no sign of life, it backfires HEAVY if i press the gass, 1 time a flame came out of the exhaust.

the spark plugs are new, leads, and coil...

Iv checked the sparkplugs 3 times and they get wet, and iv checked for spark and the spark is very good, so what can be wrong now ?? I lined up syl 1 TDC and checked the dizzy, sat the ignition at 12 degree and still no life....

The car has run good all the years and the old owner parked the car and the next day it wouldent start...

Sorry for my english, im norwegian

Fuel flap in the metering head or the cold start injector on the side of the plenum chamber

Disconnect this and see if it's any better

And the thing above 35 is the cold start
It was normally blue from memory so just unplug the electrical connection

yea, but i was kinda lazy after 12h work day so just made up this

1-5. 4-3. 2-6

The engine thinks syl 5 is 1 and 4 is 3 and so on runs like a charm now, going to fix it tomorrow.
