Hi has any1 ever removed centre box from a mongoose exhaust system I want it louder Iv heard scorpion with no centre box they sound nice also were can I get 3" tube

 

I had a custom made stainless steel centre box for my 2wd as the one you get with all the S/steel systems are too big if your car is lowered and will touch speed humps etc. It is oval shaped not round but is still pretty loud with my Scorpion rear silencer. Remember if you want to do track-days there are noise limits and with no centre box it would be way above them. I have not heard of anyone taking out the centre box completely.

 

Mine is same as this and it's not loud atall also Iv seem afew scorpion systems with centre box completely removed and they sound amazing surley som1 must have don't it to a mongoose

 

Your shout mate, simplest way is cut out centre box and fit a section of new pipe in its place. You will know instantly if its to loud!

 

I have a mongoose on my 2wd saph with only the rear box
I love the sound of it but i suspect it could be annoying if used every day

 

Cheers lads it's just mine sounds very quite on boost so it's remove centre box or external wastegate
