Default Mondeo 2007 MK3 Wheels and offsets/clearances

Hi All,

I am looking to purchase a set of the Focus RS MK2 style alloy wheels (replicas), but seem to be hitting a stumbling block. I previously bought a set of the same style a few years back in the following dimensions: 7.5Jx18 with an offset of 40. These provided me with the clearance I needed on the rear so as not to foul the rear suspension. The only downside was that the fronts sat out further than I would have liked as a consequence of the lower offset and wider front track of the MK3.

Recently I purchased a set of RS Style 18" alloys that were advertised with an rim width of 8Jx18 with an offset of 50. These turned out to be an offset of 53 and this (coupled with the wider rim width) meant that the wheels fitted fine on the front, but fouled the rear suspension. I then purchased a set of 15mm Hubcentric spacers with extended bolts, but decided I didn't want to start modifying my hubs for the sake of a smart set of alloys. The seller was very good in sorting me out with a refund and also personally collecting the wheels, so I am now on the hunt again.

This is the only style (other than OEM Ford 18's) that I want to fit to my car. I have found another set advertised as having an 8Jx18 rim with an offset of 45. If this turns out to be correct, will these also foul my rear suspension or (as hoped) clear them?

Sorry for the long initial post and Thanks in Advance.
