Back in a focus St... This time a st3 mr260
Hi all
After some time in other cars (golf mk5 gti, golf mk4 4motion v6, 330ci sport, impreza turbo gc8) I decided I wanted another fast ford, already had a 06 fiesta St, focus st170 & focus st1 2006.
Just wondering who made my gearbox?! Ford or volvo? And are they known to be pretty strong? Just wondering especially being the tuned mountune 260.
Car has full history mainly ford Indi's, just noticed she doesn't pop as much as my old st1 with same engine (though that was standard) this Mr260 definately pulls harder than most if not all of my previous cars.... I loved the st1s popping when letting off the throttle but this one seems more quiet until gunning it?! Maybe mountunes map trims it to stop it over fuelling so much hence less popping and banging on overrun ...?
