Wednesday me and Fraser did a quick road trip to collect a full F40 conversion, £150...
Thursday after work the strip down and conversion begun...

During the week I collected parts...







Box oil, new flywheel bolts, crank oil seal ( easy change while its out)



Genuine GM parts ordered from Neo brothers
Dmf, clutch, csc...
£299 delivered rather than £1000 from Vauxhall!!!



Big job on the floor tbh, subframe off and everything!!!







Friday night around 23:00 it was running again...
I know there's a lot of hate for newer Vauxhalls on here... But as a daily there great value for money...
It's got the more reliable 8v cdti lump in, and now converted to the bomb proof F40...



Not bad going for 2 half days work...
Saved myself a fortune
To rebuild the M32 was between £400-£700
Clutch kit £330
Oil, bolts, crank seal £75
Total £805-£1105

2nd hand F40 box, shafts, mounts, cables, selector £150
Clutch kit £299
Oil, bolts, crank seal £75

Total £525

 

Top work matey. Most cars are the same when it comes to removing the sub frame.

I don't think i would of done this job on the floor.

 

Pig of a job on floor but it's done, 2 weeks previous to the box dying I had to fit a replacement turbo...

 

Go on you l0l. How long did it take you to do the turbo.

 

Half a day with bru breaks...
Should be ok now... It's on 130k now so should be good for that again now.

 

Hopefully it will go for another 130k then.

 

Good stuff, Anymore mind and it will be getting called Triggers Broom lol
