Angry Car getting scratched

Ok I've been getting scratches appearing on my car and dents, from car doors and I've suspected it's my jealous fat neighbour, so I've installed cctv and caught the bitch in the act, she pulled up yesterday and parked so close to my car it was stupid, nothing parked on the other side of her, but chose to really get close to my car, she then proceeded to slam her drivers door into my car, and then have the cheek to open her rear door and do the same and slam it into the side of my car, so gone down to it to inspect the damage and found a nice big dirty scratch, what do you recon I should do, police will probably not want to know, but they're scum neighbours constantly doing petty vandalism to my home and car and plants in my garden and garden lights.

Anyone have any ideas what resource I have, as the scratches all over my car now require a full respray and this bitch who has been suspected of doing it has been caught red handed

Sounds like criminal damage to me and given your evidence I expect the police would be obliged to act.

Police first, then when that is concluded I'd start my own proceedings in the Civil Courts for the money. Going through your insrance might be a better way for you personally to do this, I don't know how comfortable you would be starting your own proceedings and represeting yourself in Court?

She thinks she's got money mate, looks down on you like your dirt and she's upper class, she's far from it pal, constantly Jealous of what we have, she can't bare the thought of us having anything nice like we don't deserve it??

Fuckin hate people who think they are better than others, she likes to spin tales so people believe what she's saying, I've had police involved about criminal damage on my ginnel door when her fella kicked it in, they didn't want to know, had an antisocial behaviour team involved and they made us look like the bad ones even though I had evidence and she spouted bullshit, even had a pop about the cctv I have installed saying it's illegal and waffling about human rights it's my job so I know what the law is on cctv, but they shook my mrs up a bit when they came out with shite, typical idiots who think they know things when they don't.

Just trying to earn a living but that's against the law according to our neighbours, because they own their own little house, they make us out as the lower down in society, and the police always side with the home owner not the renter.

I get one with the rest of my neighbours and have an excellent relationship with them all and I'm always helping them out, bought the mrs a brand new ford kuga, as she's never really had nice things before I met her, and my neighbours hate it, she has the look on her face like we've just murderd her whole family, now you get childish vandalism, it's a shit world we live in.

I would find out where she works or leaves the car during the day so it's away from your street and pour paint stripper all over it and put in every single window.
This type of behaviour really pisses me off, you can't have nice things for fear of arseholes damaging it.

if theyre twisting things to make you the bad guy then you need to get smarter and play them at their own game.
or do nothing and let them walk all over you.

This is one of the reasons that puts me off getting a everyday nice car. Me and the mrs will just stick with our bangers and collect more dents and scratches.

Have you not told the police about her.

As soon as you tell plod and something happens to her car you'll be prime suspect

So make sure you have a good alibi, like being at the police station reporting her damaging your car

You've let it go for so long she thinks she can walk all over you, and she is

Do not inform your insurance unless you want your premium to rise whether you claim or not. You'll be seen as more of a risk. You may be better going down this route but think carefully before you do.

I'd seek legal advice, it is criminal damage so the police should act, and you should be able the reclaim back any financial losses from her through the civil courts if needs be.

Edit to add. Also get as much evidence as possible, just to prove its not an isolated incident and she is responsible for all damage

So you think I should collect as much evidence as possible? And wait till she does it again??

Nobody else has a grudge against me accept for her.

I don't have any enemies, I'm a really nice person if you meet me in the flesh

I probably would, catching her doing it once could be fobbed off as an accident, multiple instances are harder for them to argue with. Keeping a diary of all incidents would also be a good idea.

Don't make them up as you go along. Just note times and places and cctv stuff from now on

Unless you are sure she did them and can remember times and dates to include in this diary before submitting anything to the police

I feel for you, this is bang out of order. Did you say you have caught her on your cctv actually damaging your car? If you have the Police will have to act on it as criminal damage. She should be made to pay for the damage.

the police wont know. They dont turn up and ask if you own the house it's irrelevant so why would they ask??

Theyd only ask if they were doing YOU for antisocial behaviour or similar as these days they report antisocial behaviour to landlords to try and get people evicted.

As much as its a good idea to stay the right side of the law in these situations I'd be more inclined in this case to be as petty and nasty as they are being, just be smarter about it than they are being

Actually warren, it was us who contacted our landlord about antisocial behaviour, showed them proof of damage to our ginnel door. The bloke admitted he's smashed it in because he was locked out even though his from door was open, the ginnel is part of our property but they think they have right of access even though the land registry says otherwise, And they send an ASBO team out to give us a hard time?? Wtf is that all about??

Sorry to hear this mate, when my car was damaged police were crap. If you make a police complaint it makes claiming on your insurance much easier.

Personally i would call the police, tell them what happened and not get off the phone till they did something. Try and park away from them if you can

Good luck mate
