Default Any Audi techs / A7 current or previous owners

I'm looking at buying an A7 Quattro diesel, either 242ps or Bi Tdi model. Anyone previously owned one or any techs for Audi can advise me anything to look for, recommendations of the two engine choices, I understand the bitdi models come don't come with the dct (or what ever audi's version is) gearbox. Is it worth sacrificing the more power of the bitdi engine for the gearbox or is the other box better.

Welcome any information or opinions.

Cheers

Has slight water leak. They had to take the engine out to fix it.

Ouch, hope that was under warranty. Do you know where the leak was just out of curiosity. I'll be buying one still with over a year of manufacturers warranty left, hopefully closer to 2, and will be looking to take out a good warranty after that as it frightens me the thought off the bill you could end up with.

Yeh it's under warranty still not sure on where it was but will find out.
I would make sure you have a good local dealer near you. There is only lomond Audi dealers close by where we live.
He isn't impressed with their service or attitude.
He got the car back from getting repaired and the a/c wasn't working as the punctured the a/c rad and never told him. A few other bits and bobs still weren't fixed.
He phoned the service manager 5 times and left messages to call him back.
Service manager finally got back to his wife and was giving her s load of verbal.
Not very professional at all. Took them three weeks to get the car booked back in to have their mistakes rectified.
Total bunch of idiots at lomond Audi.

Iv heard that about a lot of Audi dealers to be fair. Looked at the other similar brands BMWS merc etc and nothing has caught my eye compared to the A7 black edition. One of those head and heart situations!
