A decent motorsport 8x17" will go over your calipers, with a 225/35 tyre the overall diameter is the same as std so fits in the wheel well.

Offset is the biggest issue. As said above, many motorsport wheels in 16" would fit no problem depending on offset.

With et0 you may get 15" on. I tried my 15" comps on my old cossie with AP's and it just fit on but i had wheel spacers on the car already making the offset much different than standard.

The spare wheel by law had to have the same overall diameter with tyre as the rest.
So i'd just get the same wheel again.

Compomotive are re-making the wheels on my car but I refuse to spend 250 quid for a spare wheel once you add postage plus a tyre makes it too much for me.
Think I've sorted a 17" wheel with tyre.
