I keep going round in circles thinking about this....
will the length of the intercooler hoses affect boost pressure? For example, if in standard form the hoses are 200mm long, and i make them 300mm long will the increased volume of the pipework affect the boost pressure, i.e lower it? and subsequently make the turbo work harder and produce other problems?

I do not believe it will change the pressure but more likely add a little lag if anything.

 

More lag, yes, but you with the volume of air a turbo provides, you wouldn't be able to measure a difference between the two!

 

thanks for the replies. i see, i was more concerned with the fact that it might make the turbo work harder and accelerate wear.
