Default Red light flashes on dash when driving

Has anyone ever had the red light flashing on the dash board whilst driving a ford kuga ? Done it yesterday whilst driving home but not done it again since ?

Cheers Darren

Presuming you mean the immobiliser warning light. No it shouldn't do this, it has registered a fault. Was it flashing steadily or giving you a code with a series of flashes followed by a pause?

It flashed steadily for 5-10 seconds then stoped for a few seconds then flashed four times, done that a couple of times. There are no messages or anything on the screen

Could be a communication fault with the key. Does it have keyless start with the push button or is it a normal ignition switch. I'd get it looked at, it should have stored an error code in the alarm's ECU.

Has keyless entry and start. I have chnaged the battery in the key as it came up that was low just 10 mins ago. Could it have been something to do with that ?

I have had that low fob battery error on mine before but it just comes up on the dash display, the immobiliser light doesn't flash with it. Probably just see if it happens again, if it does get it looked at.

I have had the same problem on my Ford Focus Titanium 2010,old shape. Intermittent flashing of red light above warning light, have changed batteries in keys, no change. Mine is a keyless system.

Default Same Issue with 2010 Ford Focus

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I am having a similar issue with my 2010 Focus. Even when I am not driving, the immobilizer light will flash once and the radio will display "Ford Audio" as if I just turned it on. This happened a few times and I put it down to radio signal, but now it is occurring more regularly. There is also a clicking sound.

I have noticed a crack in the reverse light lens though and where I live we have had a lot of rain lately, so could this be the cause?

Thanks

Same here, 2010 Focus Titanium 2.0 tdci, red light will flash on randomly now and again, no pattern, stereo sound has a little hiccup when it comes on but no other side effects.

I am taking my car back to the garage I bought it from on Monday, so once they work out the problem, I will let you know

Just got the car back fro the garage this morning and they said the issue was with a faulty earth in the fuse box? so they have fixed this and now the car seems to be working fine.

Hope this helps.
