Hi All,

I'm looking to take on a S2 RST restoration project over the summer, selling my focus to fund it...

I'm hopefully going to have around £3500 to spend on it - and thats for everything. I've already eyed up around £1000's worth of tuning mods to reach stage 1, maybe edging towards stage 2.

I'm tempted to try and get a non runner - get the shell into the bodyshop and rebuild the engine myself - then put 2 and 2 together when the shell's sprayed.

However - having had a good look through this section i've noticed that a massive problem seems to be rust.

Do you think i'd be better spending more money on a better condition shell - or less money on a shell that needs work doing to it?

Either way - the block'll probably see a rebuild and the interior will be changed...

Any advice appreciated.

IMO for everything you have listed 3.5k wont cover it....

 

Overall i'd be looking for about £4500 for my focus, i said £3500 because i know how things normally go - they cost a bit more than you expect...

How much do you reckon i'd be looking at then?

I think you been in there already but this would be the best forum, I aint really that up on the different options avail for S2's mate
