Default Cooling question

I'm looking at mounting a 16 row oil cooler and a 6 row power steering cooler behind the upper front grill (the one with the ford badge in) on my mk1 frs but will it affect the cooling with them being in front of the radiator? As that's the only part that's open with airflow to the radiator as the bottom grille has the intercooler in front of it?

Cheers

Are you running an uprated radiator pal? I would have thought if you are spanking it on track with a standard rad all blocked by other coolers you're going to get a little hot.

Got a pro alloy one on pal! Will the air not pass through like through the intercooler below? Also going to have my fans on a override switch in the car.

I'm running a pro alloy one too so hoping not to have any issues. I'm not blocking the top bit though. I'm mounting my coolers in the bumper and running ducting from indicators or spot lamp holes..
Just make sure your fan switch works and the fans suck rather than blow.

I might give wayne a call at pro and see what he says!

Another question can the coolers be mounted so so the take offs are on the bottom? Only ever seen them with the take offs on the top?

Cheers

In short yes. It's pumped and under pressure so fittings on the bottom is fine.
