There's a nice one on here in the classifieds for Ł20k, a lot of mods on it, seems like a fair price. Think these days the minimum you'd spend is 15k

Says it's sold further down thread.one on ebay for 25k thought it was priced high but sounds about right then.not sure if I can justify spending that much.might try the rs focus .don't know what to do????

Personally I wouldn't pay 25k for one unless it was very highly modified to a very high standard. Give the focus RS a try, its a great car, you could also look at escort cosworths too, couple on ebay for the 20k mark, there was one on here for about 18-19k, and a really nice one on autotrader for 17800.

When my one arrives from Australia I would think it would be worth around Ł18k I think,
Standard with 70k on it and no rot as it's been in Aus for over 20yrs, focus rs are also climbing in price

Depends what you want, you could probably get a mint car with a knackered engine for sub 10k, an ok one for possibly Ł13k and a mint one nearer 20k, then there's all the overpriced nonsense and poorly described rotten examples. All depends what you want to pay and how much you want the car, when you you see the one for you, you'll know!

Don't want to pay more than 15k.if I can get a half decent one for that money job done.or will pay extra and try the focus.my heart strings are pulling the 3rd way as regretted selling mine .had two 4x4s before the 3dr and they didn't cut mustard either

With 3drs, saffs, 500s, and escos if you already own a nice one hang onto it, and if you dont then I would not pay the prices they command now, far better cars out there for a lot less money. You are paying a hefty nostalgia premium at the moment.

But if its a dream car then its only money and if you have it spare then treat yourself if the right one comes along. Only buy the best though as the mint parts needed to refurb a rough one are very hard to find
