What is it? I used to have a 1.8 Si, put RS2k brakes on it but not much else. It was a nippy little runabout.

 

Its only a 1.4 mate, i'm 19 you see and its better than my fiat panda than i have now.lol
But i do have a mk5 rs2000! A bloke just left it in front of a barn! So i made him a stupid offer and he took it!

If I were you I'd concentrate on getting the RS2k up to scratch, you won't lose money on it. Stick some alloys and lowering springs on the 1.4 and have a cheap runaround!

Yeah that's what i was thinking! Not sure what wheels to go for though?! This is my 2000...

 

keep hold of the rs2k and get that up to scratch while driving around in the 1.4 as it will be worth way more than the std mk6, I wont bore you with pics of my mk6s as I have had way too many

Cheers, I am wondering whether to put the fogs back in and have a cold air feed from the grill. Reason being, the air filter is right behind the passenger fog light

This is mine a few months ago:





It's technically a MK5, but has MK6 panels, so it kind of counts. Currently a rolling shell, having Cosworth GRP front wings and new rear arches fitted as I don't like the current arch extensions.

Also fitting Group A pedal box, new jacking points, a modified gearbox and putting it on a big diet.

 

Some nice looking escorts here. They cant be many left now cause most of them have rotted away.

 

Mine is trying it's best. Had to replace a big chunk of the front bulkhead, and one of the floor pans needs some work.

Saying that though, seeing as it's been abused as a rally car for 15 years, it's not in bad shape.

I miss it. All it had was the AP brakes, ATB diff, Spax coilovers and an exhaust. It was so much fun on B roads

I do love a mk6 escort just a shame they were so slow. Would love to try a 2.0 converted one although I bet they weren't the quickest either. They can look awesome though
