Unhappy broken locking wheel nut D:

hi guys, new to the forum and just wondering if anyone could give me any advice.. title is the issue. ive tried an erwin socket (erwin?.. irwin? whatever it is) with absolutely no luck. the things so far gone theres nothing to bite on becuase all thats left is practically a semi-circle.
i dont want to risk a hammer and chisel for fear of damaging my alloys unless there is absolutely no other option, any ideas would be great thankyou!

p.s dont ask why there is two locking nuts on each wheel.. previous owner.

i just want a set of four standards on after this episode.

(i know my alloys need a refurb, they were bought like this so no bad driver comments please.)

look like you may need to have a bolt welded onto what left to remove

12 point socket that won't quite go over and force it on with a hammer.
Then undo it, use a cross brace though so it won't twist off again.

I used a 20 or 21 mm socket the above way.

I used these when my key broke, got all 4 off within the hour. The hardest part was getting the tool off the bolt after it was removed.

However looking at the pics, your kind of stuck. If all else fails and your going to damage the wheel I would be looking to grind off the back of the wheel stud and smack the whole thing through the front

I had to get a butchered one off my Daughters car and did the same thing. I had to really force the socket over it with a lump hammer but it gripped and undid fine with no damage to the thread or wheel.

Hope you can get them off ok. If you have nice alloys I would still get a new set of locking wheel nuts , just make sure you keep the socket somewhere safe and you wont have the same problem again.

You could always nip down to your local Ford dealer and ask them to remove them as they should have a master set.

Might cost a few quid but it would save a lot of buggering about

Assuming they are Ford lockers of course

Lots of ways of doing it, a smashed on socket has always done me bar once and I had to weld to it.

if you had listened to my advice they would all be off now lol! the longest bit is cutting the extension back off the nut when you get them off but even that only takes seconds with an angle grinder
