cosworth mk2 package
whats it worth..
decided im going to sell the cosworth package from my mk2 as I want to make it more road friendly genuinely don't know what price to put on it so would appreciate some advice as I don't want to over price it but don't want to under price it either.
well known car with some good figures considering it is full group4 spec not set up for drag racing,im bound to miss things and some on here may know more about the spec than me but brief spec.
200 block
6 long studded
cp pistons
longer h section rods
acl bearings
ported and polished head
bd14 and bd16 cams
double valve springs
solid lifters
850cc injectors
custom made inlet
gt35r turbo with 108 housing
external wastegate
omex 710 ecu etc
running 7" triple plate tilton clutch
high quality fuel system inc regulator
fuel lines
pumps etc
gearbox is tremec t5 with full quaife internals
quickshift,hydraulic clutch conversion
custom made high quality stainless steel exhaust (tuneable) alone around 2k
custom made huge intercooler with blow off valve(bigger than rs500)
custom made large rad
custom made header tank
custom made breather system
will have forgot some things ie knock link,defi guages and other bits that will go with engine
on full set up car was running circa 630 bhp on race fuel circa 575bhp on pump fuel
0 to 100 in 5 secs
0 to 144 in 9.7 secs standing quarter
currently running around 430/450 bhp still does 0 to 60 in 2.7 secs croft last year
ideally for road use could do with clutch changing to single plate and maybe smaller turbo
any advice on worth would be much appreciated before I place add on

15 k would be nice. Dont know If I could bring myself to break it in bits would rather sell the full package if could a lot of money I know but it's all top quality stuff . may be better off selling the car and doing one of my other mk2s

tony It made 630hp on pump fuel v power ,and was only ran on race fuel for the quarter mile just to keep the engine temps down and less chance of knock,it a 1.06 ex housing and makes power all the way to 8800 rpm where the limiter is set ,obviously on the old map
Well look, if you decide to break (could sell most of it to people that have commented here alone) i will be very interested in the tall engine, minus turbo, ecu etc etc.

Dont get on here that often. Never said I was breaking in bits
only put a add on to get some advice on what the full package would be worth . when and if I decide to break the car I will list it as that.

you said you decided to sell the 'cosworth package'.
the only people posted on here for parts are from the 'cosworth package'.
people are only interested in parts from the cosworth package and not from the car, so you have a market for the parts you wants you want to sell, so if you decide to break up the 'package' then depending on prices ect.... you may sell the parts you want to get rid of.
