An intermittent squeak is driving me insane....Fiesta MK3 with 2.0 Moneo conversion. Sometimes it won't squeak other times it will and then it will go away afterwards...It's not your typical deafening screech that an aux/serpentine belt would make, but more like a quiet whistle and can only really be heard when it's idling if it's making the noise at all. Also, on cold starts there's a strange scratching sound coming from the same area, timing belt/aux belt area and I can't figure out which. It makes the car sound like an old Pushrod motor and only happens on stone cold starts (after many hours/overnight) and disappears after minutes of driving, then won't do it again until next morning or many hours...It's very hard to get it to a garage to diagnose as by the time I've driven to a garage it will have stopped, belt however sometimes squeaks and others it wont. I have a video of the scratching/scraping sound, as I said it's coming from the area the aux and timing belt are so I don't know if it's a bearing (surely it would make the noise all the time though not just when cold?) here it is, any help would be greatly appreciated http://vid938.photobucket.com/albums...pssjwyl17c.mp4
