Default Other Car's that we own MG Maestro Turbo

you can see from my username, am Cosworth owner and great fan currently own 1991 Sierra Cosworth 4x4 for the last 7 years.

also have this..i know there going to be lots of people hate this type of car, build quality, head gaskets,RUST!!

After restoring it for last few years, and building fully forged engine for it from Rover 220 turbo now at 367 bhp, its certainly no slow maestro.

Very cool. My 220 turbo "tomcat" even with anti torque steer bushes used to be a hand full of torque steer fun....what is your maestro like. Is motobuild still going? They used to do lots with these.

Thanks for sharing....

Thanks.. only 505 ever made very rear now only 19 still taxed on UK roads according to howmanyleft.co.uk.
You have to drive it with 2 hands on steering wheel at all times has on full boost 21 psi it pulls all over the road (torque steer) also fitted set ap 4 pot calipers from MGTF to bring it to a stop.

These and the MG metro were really underated .

Back in 1999 I had a 1.3 MG metro that used to blow away Xr2's all day long . Kicked the crap out of it for over a year and it didn't break once

The styling on the Maestro is such a disaster that I love it! Bet it shifts too. Not seen one in white for ages, usually green iirc

Very unusual car, you must have as much fun humbling modern " supercars " in that as you do in your cossy!!

to be honest my Cosworth is running standard, and wouldn't have a chance against it, MG would leave it for dead but if i would to spend same amount on my cosworth has i have done restoring the MG, the cosworth would be better car no contest

Most of them are green or red, only 4 or 5 at a push that i know that are white and on still on the road.

Love an MG Maestro Turbo! My uncle had a couple of them back in the day and remember how quick they were, although they had the boost turned up and tended to go through a headgasket more than once I seem to remember!

You've got a lovely example there, bet it goes likema rocket! Although I'd prefer it on the standard wheels.

Can't believe there's only a handful left? Surely a fair few must be laid up.
