Hi all I picked up a 200 block a while ago now and it has got damaged somehow! One on the dowel lugs/cast fixing points that locates in the bell housing has snapped clean off. I have found the piece of cast and wondered if anyone has had any luck welding cast? or have this happen to them? The block is perfect it seems insane that it might be rendered useless.


Any advise on this?

It can be welded but it will need pre heating to weld it but it is very fixable

 

well that's good new, I could use my spare bell housing to locate properly although it's snapped off perfectly and mates well.
