Default ST170 Engine into a mk4 escort estate

Hi everyone I have a mk4 escort estate which is currently running a 1.6 cvh out of a xr2. I've been offered the engine, gearbox, loom and ecu with the immobiliser chip from a 2002 ST170. What I want to know is how easy the conversion is and what have other people done with regards to the wiring and ecu as much info would be much appreciated. Thanks mark

For mounting the gearbox and engine your gonna need custom mounts for gearbox, modified cvh engine mounting. Servo and gearbox will conflict and need work, then there is a hydraulic clutch conversion to think about, aswell as custom driveshafts and possibly other bits before even thinking about wiring.

Thanks for that mate I'm not going to use the six speed box going to use a rs Turbo box or a diesel box so dropping the engine in should be quite straight forward.

Yeah enlarge cvh turbo flywheel bolt holes and the sump will need mods, have a look at karlos G's zetec turbo guide, that will steer you in the right direction. I run a st170 based zetec turbo.
