Hi I am going to be using a trigger wheel on the crank for my efi crank sensor pickup and I need to no how it is set up. The kit ive got has a tdc mark on the disc, does this line up with the tdc mark on the engine or is they another way you have to set it up? The kit is one off eBay and looks a good kit just has no installation instructions. Any help from people who have experiance with this would be much appreciated

What management are you using?

Aftermarket should be able to set up how many teeth the missing tooth is from top dead centre, if your using ford management the missing tooth will need to be a specific number from top dead centre.

 

Im going to be using ofac as ive had all the bits for ages so I may as well use them. Anyone have any pictures of their crank sensor setups

 

Then it's probably something like Burton sells.

I'd not use it for standard injection systems. These are designed for aftermarket systems which can be programmed individually.

I'd go for an EFI bottom end and a flywheel with markings instead!

 

The engine is a fresh build (pretty much) and I no its a good one so changine it isn't an option. Ive looked on a few websites and it looks like its 9 teeth btdc so al give it a try

 

36 teeth means each teeth is for 10°

You also don't know if the EFI uses the start or the end of the teeth. So when you're just half a teeth off, you'll probably end up with no power or with a set of melted pistons.

 

Its adjustable and won't be getting any use until its set up on a rolling road.

 

90degree off tdc has a tooth missing.
