ita fine i have a good metal worker who will be sorting the welding for less than 400 quid. mot bad eh? my plans are not too certain at the mo as far as tuning goes i'm just going to leave it the way it was when i got it, with 285t2, stage 3 turbo, chip, exhaust, filter and i have added a grs intercooler to it. i already have got koni's with h&r springs, willwood 286 mil discs with 4 pots. i'm going to go for a standard interior aswell and leave the outside apart from a few 90 spec items, and the super t's of course.
also about the shell i live in northern ireland so it wouldn't be easy for me to get my hands on it anyway. cheeRS tho.

i was over at the welders having a look at the motor today and the work he is doing is top class. got a new scuttle panel on and you wouldn't even know its new on only that its not painted got my drivers side sill built up and the footwell is getting cut out and replaced at the mo. i'm going to try to get some pics for next week and throw them up for you.

fordy 007. when i got the car it had a brand new battery tray silicone sealed over the hole where the old one was so i just had to take it off to do the welding. but i think you are just going to have to cut it out and weld a new one in. hope that is of some help to you.

here's some pics of where i am with the car.

as you can see i no longer have a huge hole as a battery tray

the nasty dent in (due to a bonnet flying up at 60) the roof is gone

chassis leg and buper mount sorted

new slam panel, another required part after the bonnet incident.

rusty arches cut away and a new one welded in, just about to be shaped.

some holes in the floor welded up.

ok...things have been moving very slowly, the car has been off the road for 18 months now . and i'm rethinking my plans. i can either go all out and put in a 2.1 zvh with cossie management strip the car leaving only a seat. or leave the inside standard, and just have it mint with around 180 brake. any opinions would be great as i'm really torn between these options.

Well done keeping that car on the road, if mine had been that bad it would be a little square piece of metal right now it looks fantastic

I have been through the same dilema with mine, and I have decided to leave it standard on the outside and inside, but to have a 2.1 zvh monster under the bonnet

Ant.
