HI,IM NEW HERE,SO PLEASE BE NICE!!!!
IVE JUST BOUGHT A MK4 CABBIE 3I WITH MFI!!
ITS SHITE N USES LOADSA JUICE,SO I WANNA PUT AN EFI IN.

I PRESSUME ALL RUNNING GEAR ETC IS THE SAME,JUST THE LOOM,BLOCK N FI.

WHAT WOULD I HAVE 2 DO 2 GET THE SWOP DONE???

PLUMB EFI -MFI LOOM HOW???? WHICH GOES WHERE???
SWOP ECU'S??? I DUNNO

BASICALLY I WANA DO IT MESELF COZ IM A TITE RS AN WANNA GET MY HANDS DIRTY!!!!!!!

SAVING PENNIES FOR S2 IN THE WINTER!!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME

ur gonna need to change the loom, the tank, the bottom end, head and plenum, oh and the exaust. ive got a full scorpion for an efi if you decide to go thru with it i might have a tank aswell.

in fact im pretty sure ive got a loom with ecu aswell!!!

all ya need is loom/ecu/and adapter for mfi to efi to go on head,
dont have to change block at all, or zorst,

lol, ifind the total opoosite, mfi is much more responsive than an xr2i i have driven, and on a run up to birmingham from devon i got 45 mpg, so your engine must be fubared

when i bought the car,i got 180 miles to 20 quid,which i though was ok as i was doing ??? as and when i could.(???-dont wanna get done for speeeeding )

but since then,i seem 2 be filling her up every 2 days.
i filled her with 30 quids of tesco finest unl
eaded,and in return gota poor 220 miles-no ragging,just sensible driving.

zvhrst-where can u get an adaptor plate from???

dont have to change block at all, or zorst,

so how will you get the trigger for the ignition spark? there is a sensor located near the flywheel in the block!

That might be your problem, Tescos fuel is shite and full of crap cleaning additives.

Stick to Shell or BP or fill up in a place thats just had a delivery, so you;re not getting all the crappy sediment at the bottom of the tanks
