I love the old metros with the steering wheel slightly to the left. Lol
I had a mint gti . Paid only Ł550 back in 2003. I cammed it and put it on twin 40's sounded and went very well.
Gti's fetch very good money if in good knick but seem very rare these days id have another one at a drop of hat.

I had a couple of early metros, one was an mg and the other was a metro turbo clone with tweaked engine, I loved them at the time but then I tried xr3, xr2, mk2 golf and 205 gti which were all better but I'd still love an mgturbo. I used to drive my mg from Guildford to Leicester to see my girlfriend at uni, that is a long way in a 4 speed metro!

I love my Metro. Had tons and tons of people complement it. Todays admirer said ''That's awesome mate, love it.'' It's certainly out of the norm nowadays anyway.

I had my arse handed to me in my XR3i by a rover 100 Knightsbridge
which was running a 1.8 k series. That thing was a proper sleeper, wheel trims the lot! Lol. Loving your metro dude

Had a green 1.1 metro gti rep for my first car and my mate had a blue one for his first car , been tinkering with the idea of building a fast metro as you just don't see them on the roads anymore

The gti was awesome. My mate had an identical red one that we used to burn round in about twenty years ago. Very nippy and I think they only made something like 400 of the 105bhp Gtis.
