Metros just dont see them no more, i had a g reg 1.0 clubman at one point, such a laugh.

Ben26 18-10-2014 10:04 PM

I love the old metros with the steering wheel slightly to the left. Lol

I had a mint gti . Paid only £550 back in 2003. I cammed it and put it on twin 40's sounded and went very well.

Gti's fetch very good money if in good knick but seem very rare these days id have another one at a drop of hat.

Retro car with proper retro locking wheel nuts! :-)

Caddyshack 19-10-2014 06:52 AM

I had a couple of early metros, one was an mg and the other was a metro turbo clone with tweaked engine, I loved them at the time but then I tried xr3, xr2, mk2 golf and 205 gti which were all better but I'd still love an mgturbo. I used to drive my mg from Guildford to Leicester to see my girlfriend at uni, that is a long way in a 4 speed metro!

whiskey 19-10-2014 11:36 AM

rare cars nowadays, i thing there awesome, yours looks cool mate

SMILER258 19-10-2014 04:21 PM

I love my Metro. Had tons and tons of people complement it. Todays admirer said ''That's awesome mate, love it.'' It's certainly out of the norm nowadays anyway.

3i Jim 19-10-2014 05:31 PM

I had my arse handed to me in my XR3i by a rover 100 Knightsbridge:cry:which was running a 1.8 k series. That thing was a proper sleeper, wheel trims the lot! Lol. Loving your metro dude:king:

Roscopeco 19-10-2014 05:40 PM

Glenn_ 21-10-2014 08:31 PM

This reminds me of secondary school as one of the parents that used to pick one of the other kids up had one just like this.

SiZT 21-10-2014 11:44 PM

Should go well with a VVC in there :king:

stuboy 22-10-2014 05:04 AM

fuzzy 22-10-2014 12:54 PM

Its funny how the mists of time make shit cars collectable.....

63np 22-10-2014 01:00 PM

Looks very clean.
Owned about 5gta's and about 10 16v's.
Loved them.
Had a few Caribean Blue ones with the half leather. :top:

wattie 22-10-2014 07:02 PM

Had a green 1.1 metro gti rep for my first car and my mate had a blue one for his first car , been tinkering with the idea of building a fast metro as you just don't see them on the roads anymore

Jimboxr4x4 22-10-2014 08:43 PM

The gti was awesome. My mate had an identical red one that we used to burn round in about twenty years ago. Very nippy and I think they only made something like 400 of the 105bhp Gtis.

t16coupe 23-10-2014 11:50 AM

when they brought the mpi out they did a run of 500 in nightfire red with half leather ew and some other bits was called the gti se

slimwynn 25-10-2014 09:33 PM

yeah i used to love my metro it was my first car i had the mg when i was 18 then the rover 100 a bit later we used to call the me rot.
