hi, the lower panel that holds the sunroof frame is rusting in a few places, not bothered about have a sunroof as i want it to be mainly a trackday car, can i take the roof lining down, and cut out that panel , will it make the roof weaker.

yep all it is spot welds on the lower panel, take roof lining down, take sunroof out drill through spot welds remove panel, and you can blank off sunroof hole, also be loads lighter
