Default ignition feed problem? any ideas?

hi all , so can anyone tell me if a the lack of an ignition feed would stop dim/dip /windscreen washer, and engine from not starting?

tried to power the ecu direct (throw the loom plug) to see if it would start but seems like its just needs a bit more cranking power to go , theirs fuel and their is sparks but no go .

do you put the engine on its marks as standard ? I have a bd14 inlet cam , standard exhaust cam ? and running msd wasted spark , with adjustable cam pulleys .

or wont it start this way ?

any help would be appreciated

thanks

It won't stop lights, given they are not supplied by ignition, the flasher/main beam and washers would not work, however.

Has the WS been recently installed? Just because you have spark does not necessarily mean it is happening at the right time, therefore it could cause a non starter, but the fact you do means you have power to the coil pack.

What do you define by "needs a bit more cranking power to go"?

If you had the timing wrong, you would have wrecked the engine by now!

thanks for the reply , I am going to get an auto spark to sort the lights out but would like to make sure the engine starts so concentrating on the engine for now .

yes the WS has just been fitted , mostly all parts are new engine fully rebuild , CW engine loom , fuel pump, fans loom rewire kits , new sensors

so I don't know if it actually works , same with the car loom as I bought that as I thought it would makes things easier (plug and play type of thing)

cranking speed as the battery I think is low so got that off and on charge now , should be ok as its only just over a year old .

the plugs are sooted looking and a little wet but not much considering how much I turned it over , its a new weber fuel reg so maybe worth putting the old one on to see if it makes any difference ?

I thought the timing was fine but just thought I would ask with using the bd14 cam and don't know if the setting was different

it now starts , problem was the leads on the coil pack were on the wrong way as I had them on as you should when using the msd wiring loom that's comes with the kit , however I had a engine loom with WS built in so changed the leads round and started straight away , so its escaped being scrapped for now , although I have found out my gearbox is crunching so need a new one , and a new ISCV as that's fecked too ...
