Hi guys, I have a mk4 fiesta 1.25. When I turn the ignition on the temp gauge goes straight to hot, without the engine running with a stone cold engine
It's not overheating it's more of a electrical problem. Still does the same if I disconnect the temperature sensor on the thermostat housing?? Please help it's driving me insane!!

 

possibly a faulty voltage regulator on back of clocks or a jammed wire earthing out,
