Default 1956 Ford F350 beavertail

got myself a new project, a 1956 ford F350 chassis cab that is being turned into a beavertail so i can haul cars around and take them to shows, not sure what engine i will have a budget for but it will be alloy and a ford v8, alloy to keep weight down, and ford to keep in the right brand, not sure on colour either yet, maybe satin black, its very solid, and should make for something more interesting than a transit beavertail, a basic 1956 f350 only weighs in at 1.7 tonnes, and thats with a cast iron v8, hoping to have it built and road going at under 2 tonne, giving me a good payload, got to extend the chassis by 2 ft to give me a good length bed, looking at around 14ft beavertail, it will be a very basic alloy beavertail to keep weight down, in america the 56 f350's GVW is 4.2 tonnes, but i will be down plating it to 3.5 tonnes to keep it in the same weight category as a 3.5 transit.

expensive maybe, but its a company build, i ship classic cars in from around the world, and wanted something to get noticed with while delivering the vehicles, eventually i want air ride all round, but for now it will stick with stock springs but newer axles, thinking late 400 sherpa front beam, and a mk7 transit axle with a motorway ratio of about 3.55:1, want a tr6060 gearbox which is the newer better version of the t56, when i want bits i will just make sure i buy some cars from america and just bring my own bits in the container with the cars, engine wise, to keep it light, i will be going with an alloy v8 cobra 32v or my preferred engine is a new coyote 5.0 v8 crate engine, what ever engine it will be running on LPG to keep fuel costs down
