Accidently bought a GT2871R with a tial 0.64 exhaust housing to replace my crappy Gt30 replica ebay turbo on my zetec turbo.

Anyone used one of these on a zetec turbo what kind of revs can expect it too start boosting at and will it continue to make power till it hits rev limiter
old one dosen't boost till near 5k and takes off like a rocket but is shit to drive

 

based on what ive searched about turbo choice youve probably bought one of the best all round turbo's for a zetec..quick spool and good power..this is only based on others experience . if i had the cash for a gt28 its what id have..good for about the 400bhp mark ..to add your 'ebay' gt30 wouldnt of been roller bearing..this if a gen garrett gt28 will be..spool up will be loads quicker

 

I ran that turbo for years and made full boost by 3K on my zetec turbo

 

Sounds perfect so hate having to rev the shite out of things

 

I have this fitted to my frs, full boost at just short of 3k, and pulls well. Perfectly suited for my power, circa 390bhp.
