as title, something thats not too harsh! dont want to do any damage to my original underseal in the arches! also some on the exhaust and suspension so whats best to use guys?

 

I'd use a clay bar and plenty of lube. That's the safest way. They're designed purely to remove contaminants from the surface and not from below it, which all other abrasives are.

Clay bars were originally designed for removing overspray. The fact they've gone on to remove other heavily stuck-on grime etc is purely a bonus/afterthought!

 

as above as I once had a car covered in laquer overspray as was parked near a shonky garage, took me a bloody day+ but it got it all off in the end

Doubt a clay bar will be any use if its all on bits underneath by the sound of it. Id try gunwash as i cant think of anything else that would get it off, trya small area first

 

Clay bar will work perfectly underneath.

 

Not its all shitted up, maybe if its a show car and all painted ect

 

Doesn't matter what the surface is like, clay bar will sort it.

 

Can you not just paint the under seal black

 

Panel wipe or thinners on a cloth...
Panel wipe on painted surfaces, thinners on the exhaust...
