Default EFi turbo crossover touches bonnet :-(

.

Just fitted an EFi turbo engine in my cabby and the EFi cross over touches the under bonnet cover, anyone had this problem.

Am I right in thinking the XR3 cradle and RS turbo ones are the same???

Yer CVH mate, it's only just touching so looks like I'm gonna have to put a smaller spacer between the box cradle and it's mounting points like on the Mk2 XR2 cradle.

Yes mate, there is a small gap that I can get a ruler between and twist it a bit but far to close for my liking, I have now made 2 x 5mm spacers to go between the cradle and the body, much better now

So you have spaced your cradle?? Did you space the mounts too?? Otherwise your engine and box will be lay down to one side!!

Just put protective matting on the inside of your bonnet and use bonnet raisers. And also buy a set of vibratechnics are standard ford ones are shite!! Had to do that with my frst

Yer already got vibratechnic mounts on there, only lowered the gear box side (font and back) 5mm which wont hurt it, plus public roads aint level anyway no need to do the other side. I had the car on level ground with the front slam panel almost spot on level and the gearbox end sit high than level anyway :-/
