rs turbo id
hi guys. ive just bought an mk4 rs turbo shell/project . mainly for spares tbh as the shell is quite badly rotten ,
The floor area where the chassis number would be is almost missing and there is no vin plate , no glass or any other details with the vehicle reg or anything obvious on it anywhere that i can see
is there any way or places i can check for any information that might give any hints or details of the identity .
any other vin or chassis numbers i could look for or anything like that
if i can get the confirm the identity and if it is a genuine rs i may repair it

if vin tags are off, its scrapped and the previous owner is covering himself by making the reg permanently gone , or the seller is keeping the "ringing kit"
along the sills there would be nutserts fixed to the shell for the bodykit side sills
and a horizontal line of say 2-3 mm holes about a foot apart above the nutserts,
for the sill skirts to prevent sagging, these were riveted on
turbo was fitted with 2 boxes engine ecu and fuel box behind the heater fan may be evidence of fixings there ,
, if its got these fixings , and the sill nutserts , its a turbo ,
you need the last 8-10 entries of the vin,
although dvla don`t assist without a reg number,

where the chassis numbers where its very rotten so its not been cut out if that makes sense , as for the vin i have no idea ,
