never taxed a car at the post office for years,
just sold a car and i would like to provide a paper disc to the new buyer,
i have no reminder as it wasnt taxed when i got it,
i have the V5 in my name, and a fresh MOT certificate
can i tax it with these 2 documents?

You don't need to take an Insurance cert to get tax at a P.O.

Not true, a couple of years ago I taxed a car that I just bought at the post office with just the green new keeper slip from the v5, the mot and a day insurance policy!
Exactly "a couple of years ago" things have changed since then and are about to change again in the next 2months.
