Yeah Ross I had a well built steel can in my escort mind, after I tried zvh and preferred cvs as it keeps its originality kind off,,
Why would I be better investing in a mk1 focus?
As for wheels ,,,,, looking for a set of standard wheels ?

Pretty sure I still have my old spare set somewhere.
Mines still CVH and it is a bundle of fun, The standard brakes don't really cut the mustard though, and if you plan on upgrading do this first, I have gone down the Sierra 4x4 route with TAROX disks and changed the pistons to stainless!
I warped the standard cosworth 4x4 disks round castle donington
and I found the original pistons rusted then got sticky so making this likely to happen again, stainless = no rust = no sticking.
I would also look at track day tyres too for the front!
