Default cossie 2wd timing belt tensioner query

changed the timing belt on my 2wd saph today-put a new ina tensioner on it and a gates belt-the tensioner securing nut is a brass item with a rounded top-there is no washer...is this correct?
car is up and running now and fine-but its 2 decades scince i worked on anything yb-just wondering if there should be a washer...? i tightened it up to bit over 42nm

there shouldn't be a washer

make sure you tightened the tensioner the correct way (clockwise), or the belt can rub on the thermostat housing

Default tensioner

yes-i did it clockwise, thanks very much for reply
i am more used to dealing with jap stuff recently-this belt was 14 years old and still fine-but the tensioner was a bit worn, both would still have done a fair few miles more [was a gates fitted]
