Found this on my gearbox support

So I recently had my gearbox rebuilt, and lately it started to leak a lot. I found this on the gearbox support:

What is it? Could it be the cause of the leak?

Looks like part of a Throttle cable. Definitly not a BC gearbox part

As above really Looks to be some sort of cable of tensioner/adjuster. doesn't appear to be part of a bc box

It's not from inside that tube on the front of the box, lower side, sits in a cut out on the front mount bracket but would have a sleeve/tube cover over it.
