Default DTA S40 and Launch control Q

Right the DTA S40 has Launch control but no Anti lag

does this mean it wont spool up when idle and limit set to 4k example like? eg like Stu @MSD does on L8

i know it wont have Anti lang when lifting off throttle during driving but want sure if that is anti lag aswell when your spooling up from standstill?

Essentially a soft cut rev limmit, thus building boost "in 1st gear" (or with handbrake on, depending on switch fittment position)

The launch control on my EMU, adds abit more fuel, cuts the spark to limit revs, retards the ignition and builts up the boost while stationary.
You can adjust the fuel, rev limit and ignition retard, more retard equals more boost.

Newer versions of the software do have a timing retard feature that should assist building boost on the line. "Retard before cut when car stopped"

But depending on turbo size, and desired launch rpm, it may build some boost anyway without the timing retard.

It's a fairly basic setup either way

There are multiple maps included with the DTA software.

Whether they are a suitable "base" for your setup is another matter. It isnt hard to throw together something for most engines though.

I'm running Dta s40 on my zetec turbo and very interested in this feature, it will be getting installed aswell as the traction control this winter aswell as the frs gearbox,a few more details on the launch would be great as I'm hoping it's going to give a few pops and bangs

http://www.dtafast.co.uk/Downloads/M...s%20Manual.pdf

Traction control will be very limited on the S40 ( TBH not even sure it offers it ?...just checked manual, nope.)

Launch details P50 onwards.

Launch control is not traction control.
