Default 225 50 15s on standard lattice rim

Buying some toyo proxes and going for 225 50 15 on the rear. Anyone had any issues with this width fitting? Will be standard 205 on the front. Thanks.

It will look like its nose diving, you need a 45 profile if going that wide, the '50' is the percentage of the width.

I think 225/50 is what the Rouse Sapphires ran all round.

Yeah but he's only on about the rears, to keep the car level he'd have to lower the profile,

That's right Dave, Yokohama AVS iirc.

They used to reshape the plastic arch liners with a heat gun to stop any rubbing

My saff had them on when I first bought it - and they rubbed / wore through the plastic liners. I wondered what they did on Rouse cars so thanks for that

Hi , they will rub I reckon . I have Toyo 888 215/50/15 on the rear and Toyo R1R 205/50/15on the front of my 3door. The rear tyres are actually 228 wide and the front are 212 wide.
I would go for 215/50/15 Toyo on the rear.

Cheers. Tim.
