how easy is it to change the older mk6 lights front and rear to the later lights front and rear?

is it just a case of bolting them in or is there more to it than that?

the mrs isn't convinced with this new car business so i'm trying to sneak one into the garden without her noticing

 

The fronts are a direct swap, but the rears have two reverse lights iirc so some wiring needs to be sorted, nothing major.
