Default Poss drive shaft clicking after cv gater replacement

Hi all hope someone can help,
I recently had my focus st 225 OS drive shaft gator replaced and since then I've noticed a clicking/clonking noise especially when going between 1st and reverse.
I seem to remember some sort of ford recall and remember someone put a ford data sheet on here about this issue, can anyone shed some more light on this please.
Cheers

The joint may be worn if the boot was split and crap gets in and the grease gets diluted.

Cheers for reply, it was the inner joint that split but I'm convinced it's coming from the outer joint!!! The garage did change this gator too as they managed to split it when putting it back together!!!!!

re-pack it with propper CV grease and try it again, although it does sound like an inner joint cup has worn

I get the odd noise from the shafts on ours, never bothers me, I think the offside inner boot is a common failure.

Cheers replies, but still hoping someone has a copy of the ford data recall data sheet that they can put on here.
