Default Turboing an EFi cabby, confimation questions???

.

Gonna be turboing my EFi cabby soon as I have all the parts required, The Cabby is already EFi and I have all the FRS turbo sensors etc including an OFAC ECU.

Got 3 questions

1 Am I right in thinking that the OFAC is a straight plug in to a 1AFA loom and OFAB needs wires changing

2 the fuel pump, what is the limits on it as I do have a 195 chip and 701's to go in when the motor has been run in after a rebuild.

3 on the Cabby there are 2 x 3 pin triangle plug on the passenger inner wing red and white, on the cabby the white one has a plug plugged In, but on the FRST they both have a red blanks, do I have to disconnect and blank them on the cabby????

Cheers

Ginger

You loom doesn't need modifying for the ofac ecu, it all plugs straight in. Only needs modifying if your using ofab ecu.

As for fuel pump I'd replace it with an escort Rs cosworth one. That's the upgrade for the frst.

Plugs on the wing I'm sure there for diagnostics, not 100% I'll check on my efi loom later for you.

It's 99% plug and play. Some ECU's take the CO pot on pin 8 of the ECU some take it on pin 27, you'll have to check that once you've fitted everything. It'll be obvious as your CO level will be fixed at 0.5% no matter how much you fiddle with the pot.

Fuel pump won't be up to the beige's an 195 chip. Go for the EsCos upgrade. It'll be fine for blue injectors though.

My cabby still has the wires plugged in to the 3 pin connector, I'd also be interested in knowing if it should be unplugged.

Cheers guys, I have the FRST loom as well so i'll check which pin the CO is connected to on that and the cabby loom and adjust if needed.

As for the fuel pump, i'm guessing the standard one will be ok for running in, I looking for a rear anti roll bar and arms for it so was gonna change the pump whilst I had the tank out for that.
