Up for sale is my immaculate Ford escort RS1600i in sunburst red. I love this car and will genuinely be sad to see it go, if it wasnt for just purchasing another Rs then i would 100% be keeping her but i only have a single garage

The car is well known in the RSOC and is a very clean and solid car, there is no rot on this car anywhere at all.

It has recently had a full detail and machine polish and the paintwork looks stunning, it always gets many a compliment and always does well at the various shows its been to. The car is only used on dry days and is covered up in the garage the rest of the time.

The overall condition is excellent, the interior is unmarked and the dash uncracked and mint. The wheels have recently been refurbished and are the correct 16i alloys and are also mint. The car has yokohama tyres with plently of tread remaining.

Brakes:

Rs turbo front disks and calipers
Cosworth 4x4 rear disc and caliper conversion

Interior:

Original seats retrimmed in black leather and red alcantara (unmarked)
Door cars done to match and also the boot has been done to, unmarked 4 spoke rs steering wheel, new tape holder and gearknob fitted, Period radio cassette fitted, 2 sets of mats, new gear gaiter, new pedal rubbers.
Exterior:

The car was repainted to a high standard several years back and still remains in excellent condition, i have recently fitted a new front bumper and new spotlights. All the spoilers/plastics are in excellent condition, new Rs1600i decals fitted since the pictures were taken, new wiper arms and blades,ford mudflaps fitted to rear, new ford electric arial, The underside of the car is very clean as it was restored a few years back and has done very little miles since.

Security:

Clifford G5 alarm and immobiliser.


Other:

The bronze glass all round is in excellent condition and the car has recently had a new top tint windscreen fitted. The sunroof is original but does has some slight age related marks on it.




I have an A4 ring binder full of reciepts, every old mot back to 1990, old tax disks, various magazine features over the years


Mileage is 102k, the engine and box etc have done around 5k miles since being rebuilt.

Mot is sept 14 (can put 12 months mot for buyer)
Tax until Oct 14

So there we have it, an excellent condition with everything that works as it should, Rs1600i that is ready to be enjoyed. There are no faults with the car.

I had several chances to buy this for really great prices before it had the Kev Flatman makeover.

LPX has always been a lovely car and it looks like a bargain for somebody, wish I had the room

Yeah long time before that, I think there was a chap called James? Him and his brother both had one or his brother owned it first or something, must have been around 2002-3, its always been a very good car
