when the term the tyres ere dropping off/going off what do they mean? i did a google search and not much came up only about tyres having a used by date .

Does it not mean when the tread starts to crack.

In racing doesnt it mean there loosing grip, over heating.

Not performing as well as they first did.
Either temporary through overheating or permanently due to uneven wear, flatspots etc.
